California babies contracting syphilis in numbers that rival poor nations.

The Liberal Utopia of California just gets worse and worst under strict Democratic leadership. California has seen record highs in sexually transmitted diseases. We have been battered by diseases like hepatitis and typhus. Well now the nearly eradicated congenital syphilis has made a devastating comeback.

High rates of poverty, homelessness and even drug use have been attributed to the sudden and shocking rise of congenital syphilis in infants. This is absolutely horrendous and I hope it wakes people up to the fact that we have a very serious public health crisis in California. Syphilis is an entirely containable and treatable disease.
California law says pregnant women must be screened for syphilis at public health facilities, but many of the women are waiting until their third trimester to seek prenatal care and by then it is far too late. The real problem is we have a state government that is more worried about helping illegal aliens than preventing disease outbreaks among the citizens.
The flood of illegal aliens that has poured into our state over the past 7 years has had terrible effects on our public health system. Finding a job has become increasingly difficult for low skilled workers as they now have to contend with cheap 3rd world labor, that is leading to a poverty crisis. People from across the globe have flocked into places like San Francisco, where they are guaranteed a paycheck even while unemployed. They defecate in the streets and get high with little bother from the city.
Take the states lax attitude when it comes to drugs and homelessness, combine all our problems together, and we have a veritable powder keg of diseases waiting to explode onto the population.
I wish this didn’t have to be a politically driven article, but it is beyond clear to me that the Democrats have utterly failed to keep the streets clean and safe. They alone have ruled this state with an iron fist for the past 7 years and it just so happens this rise in congenital syphilis in babies is taking place during that same time…
This is a horrendous situation and I simply cannot imagine what these babies are going through and the absolutely awful situation that they are being born into. No one deserves that. These babies are being harmed through no fault of their own, but as we have seen with the California Democrats, they care little about the plight of the unborn.
