Massive $55M cocaine bust by USCG and Border Patrol air crew.
This sophisticated “Batman” like low profile vessel was smuggling 4215 pounds of cocaine when a CBP Air and Marine Crew lead USCG to intercept it.
The crew was patrolling the Eastern Pacific in coordination with the Joint Interagency Task Force South when they detected a Low Profile Vessel (LPV).
A U.S. Coast Guard cutter intercepted the LPV, apprehending four people who were moving 63 bales of cocaine weighing 4,215 lbs. valued at $54,938,310.

“We will take every opportunity to intercept transnational criminal organizations engaged in narcotics smuggling,” said National Air Security Operations Center Corpus Christi Director Allen Durham.
“This case demonstrates our commitment to working with our partners around the world to dismantle criminal enterprises.”
This story is so interesting to me because I think that the U.S. Border Protection Air and Marine operations are so awesome! Especially this incredibly cool aircraft, the Lockheed P3 Orion variant with enhanced surveillance capabilities. This thing could stalk you from miles away and you would have absolutely no idea, and even a specialized vessel, like the LPV seized, has little chance of going undetected.
As I will continue to report, we are seeing some of the most successful drug and crime busts in a generation thanks to the zero-tolerance crime policies of the Trump administration. And the first real effort is now under way to secure our country from the massive amount of crime and drugs that have been pouring in for decades.
For too long our leadership have turned a blind eye to these problems, giving many fancy speeches, but never actually delivering any meaningful change. President Trump isn’t the type of person to just say what he’s gonna do, he’s gonna do what he says. He has unleashed the unmatched superiority of American technology and strength onto these drug cartels and smugglers.
