ICE uncovers alleged conspiracy to exploit illegal workforce
During a multi-state operation led by special agents from U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s (ICE), and Homeland Security Investigations (HSI), a series of criminal arrest warrants were executed for 17 individuals connected to an alleged criminal conspiracy to exploit illegal alien laborers for profit, fraud, wire fraud and money laundering.
The execution of these search warrants on Aug. 8, resulted in 133 illegal workers being arrested for immigration violations; some will be issued notices to appear before a federal immigration judge and released from custody; most will remain in ICE custody pending immigration court proceedings.
This HSI-led enforcement action was coordinated with federal, state and local agents including the following agencies: ICE Enforcement and Removal Operations; U.S. CBP Border Patrol, CBP Air and Marine Operations; and various local police.
In the context of any enforcement action, ICE utilizes “prosecutorial discretion” on cases involving humanitarian concerns, such as health or family considerations. Accordingly, several individuals were processed and released from custody the same day on humanitarian grounds.
During this investigation, authorities identified employees who were subject to arrest for immigration violations and were unlawfully working at these businesses. These individuals have been illegally residing and working in the United States; they may also have been exploited as part of this alleged criminal conspiracy.
Law enforcement believes the alleged conspirators, 17 individuals located in multiple states, colluded to create an illegal alien workforce in their respective businesses. In doing so, they defrauded the U.S. government and created an unfair advantage over their competition.
Additionally, authorities suspect the illegal aliens who were knowingly hired as part of this alleged conspiracy were exploited by the conspirators through force, coercion, or threat of arrest and/or deportation.
Specifically, these illegal aliens were allegedly required to cash their paychecks at an illegal remittance business(basically a fake check-cashing place) for a fee, have tax money deducted from their pay even though this money was never paid to the government, and were coerced to remain quiet about this criminal activity.
This enforcement action is just a small part of a 15-month, ongoing HSI investigation based on evidence that these companies allegedly knowingly hired illegal aliens, and that many of these illegals are using fraudulent identification belonging to U.S. citizens.
The illegal aliens who remain in ICE custody after being administratively arrested on immigration violations will be transported to a nearby processing facility and placed in removal proceedings.
So there you have it, and as I continually mention, President Trump is doing far more than any other President to go after these employers who conspire to ship in illegal aliens, just so that they can make a higher profit!
You know, we often hear Liberals say that they care about immigrants and that they hate corporations that exploit slave labor to make profits. Well here you have ICE rescuing illegals from exploitation and going after corporations that are importing slave labor! You would think Liberals would support ICE doing stuff like that?
But of course, they are nothing if not hypocritical, and they have no idea what ICE is all about and what it does. Continue to support ICE and President Trump as they take a real stand against those that have conspired to destroy our country by bringing in a deluge pf cheap illegal labor!
Trump genuinely wants American workers to be able to compete fairly on the job market and get paid a decent wage! He doesn’t have to promise you a “living wage” like the Socialists Bernie and Ocasio-Cortez, because he knows how to raise the standard of living for Americans by deporting the cheap illegal labor force and forcing businesses to hire Americans!
